A wise man once wrote, “The average dog is a nicer person than the average person.” (Andy Rooney), and as a fellow dog lover, I can only wholeheartedly agree. I should probably introduce myself before I dive deep into talking about dogs!
Hey everyone, my name is Vanessa and I am a dog owner, dog lover, and the brains behind a dog website – Long Live Your Dog!
Ever since I was a kid, I have always been obsessed with animals. I loved petting them, especially dogs. We had 3 family dogs, and lots of our family members and friends also had dogs. I grew up around them and with them, and so I have always loved being around them.
As I got older, I started to learn more about these furry four-legged friends and became super interested in caring for them, the differences between different breeds, and the behaviors of dogs.
Not only do I love being around animals, but I also love learning about them, and so my knowledge of dogs began to grow as I grew. I became sort of the go-to gal for all my friends and family when they had questions about specific dog breeds, dog care and health questions, and queries about their diets.
That is where the idea of Long Live Your Dog first came from. I started to realize that, whilst I was totally fine with helping my family and friends with their dog queries and questions, there were probably so many people out there that had no one to turn to, and I couldn’t bear the thought of them accessing incorrect information online.
…and so, the idea for Long Live Your Dog was born! I wanted to share all of my ever-growing knowledge about dogs with all the people out there who had questions and queries about the beloved pooches. As well as this, it felt like the perfect place to share my passion for these fabulous furry friends!
All the articles I share will be packed full of all the dog-related knowledge I have learned through my life, and continue to learn. The thing is with dogs, the breeds are always changing and developing, and so there is always more to learn! So, I will share knowledge as I learn it too, to keep you updated.
